Forced into 3 months hibernation due to the pandemic, I needed to look at other ways to fulfill and feed my craving for creativity… Staying faithful to my preference of analogue over DAW; Luckily, tucked away in storage I found my trusty neglected vintage 4 track cassette Teac porta studio Not long after it was dusted it off, recalibrated, demagnetized and cleaned the tape heads; I went to work and began recording. Comprised of myself and a multi-track tape machine; raw + tones came to be…Going back to basics and because of the simplicity in which they were created, I was able to produce 50 compositions in all during the lock down. Of those, 12 different tracks were divided and distributed between 3 different 21 min cassette tapes, resulting in 3 different compilations.

The cassette tapes themselves will be housed in a series of 3 unique specially screen-printed O cards, along with a tote bag-both designed and curated by Akemi Shimada.
There are only 100 made of each series. They can be purchased as a set or individually.

Due to the limited amount produced RAW will be available only on our Bancamp and at Cosmic Arts. Only one per customer.

This is a direct to tape recording. There are no digital files available. You will need a cassette tape deck to listen.
